I'm looking at registering a horse into the World Class Miniature Horse Registry. Does anyone have any opinions or advice about this registry. Do horses registered under this registry fetch as good a price when you try to sell them? Are they less favored by most?
I know they have a LOT less requirements, which makes me wary. Any input would be appreciated. Amanda Huybers EMAIL |

Here is your chance, owners of miniatures. As many of you know I work
for a wonderful company that makes great flax based supplements for horses.
All of you Miniature owners; what would you like to see specifically for
your miniatures as far as nutritional needs? Anything that you see
different from ponies and horses? Keep in mind, idle miniatures, brood
mares, stallions, competition minis. let me know. We have a number of
miniature owners contact us asking for products, and I know that many
miniature owners visit this list, so please share with me what you would
like to have for these little performers.

Just a few lines about parades and Miniature horses. We all know that everyone likes to put there minis in parades and everyone likes the comments they hear from the crowd as we pass by. However there are some problems associated with putting your minis in a parade. I would like to start a thread of thoughts on parades and get some info from some of you folks that have been around mini horses and parades and get some feed back. Some of the questions I would like to get info on are: 1. Length of parades - is there a limit as to how far we should go with our horses? (distance miles) 2. Temperature - how hot or cold and what should we do? 3. Lead lines on carts with kids driving in Parades? 4. What should we do after the parade to comfort our horses for the effort they put forward? I bring these questions up as a result of a parade in Sydney this week end. (Santa Parade) We had 11 horses in carts in the Parade. All went well and everyone had a great time although a little tired as the Parade was 6 miles long on pavement. After the parade one of our gang put his horse out in the field and found him dead the next morning. There were no marks on the horse from other horses in the field with him. All large horses and no sign of anything wrong with the horse during the parade or after. We are not suggesting that he died as a result of the parade but would like to broach the subject and get some info from our mini owners. The horse was a gelding, 4 years old a little over weight. He was making a lot of noise calling back and forth to my big fellow during the parade. They were never close together and there was no fuss from the mares in the parade. Give me some meat and your thoughts on this. Regards. John H Fraser |
